Individual Counselling Therapy

I offer 50-minute counselling sessions, both in-person in Charlottetown, PE, and virtually for folks in PE & NB.

I pull on a number of trauma-informed modalities, including the following.

Internal Family Systems (informed) therapy is a gentle, evidence-informed therapy that helps you understand and relate to different parts of yourself—like the inner critic or anxious part—with curiosity and compassion. By recognizing the protective roles these parts play, IFS supports healing, reduces emotional distress, and helps you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to your authentic self.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences that may still be affecting you today. Using guided bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping), EMDR supports your brain in reprocessing difficult memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming. Many people find that EMDR helps reduce symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and negative self-beliefs while fostering a greater sense of calm and resilience.

Interpersonal & Attachment Focused therapy explores how early relationships and life experiences shape the way you connect with yourself and others. Together, we identify patterns in relationships, emotions, and behaviours with curiosity and compassion, while developing safer, more secure ways of relating.

Somatic Therapy recognizes that our bodies hold the effects of stress, trauma, and difficult life experiences just as much as our minds do. By gently bringing awareness to physical sensations, nervous system responses, and patterns in the body, this approach helps you process emotions, build regulation skills, and reconnect with a greater sense of safety.
