The Nest
Therapy & Wellness

A safe place to land
Empty birdnest made of twigs and grass on green fern leaves.

A nest is one of nature’s safest places. It offers comfort, warmth, and the security needed to rest, grow, and eventually spread your wings.

I chose the name The Nest because I believe therapy can offer something similar. It can be a space where you don’t have to perform or mask, have all the answers, or carry everything on your own. Instead, you can arrive exactly as you are.

My approach is warm, heart-led, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapies. My primary focus at all times is to offer trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming care.

Trauma-informed care recognizes the profound impact that trauma can have on our emotions, relationships, and nervous system, while understanding that healing happens best in an environment of safety, trust, and choice. I emphasize collaboration, compassion, and empowerment.

Neurodiversity-affirming care recognizes that neurological differences (ex. Autism, ADHD, learning differences, highly sensitive folks) are natural variations of the human experience, rather than problems to be “fixed.” I focus on understanding your unique strengths, challenges, and needs, while honouring the way your brain works, rather than encouraging masking or conformity.
